  1. 1. Human Trafficking on the India and Nepal border: This is one of the most populated areas for people to be trafficked. They mostly get tricked into "going to get married, going to start a new job, or some other convincing lie," then they get taken across the border of India into Nepal or vis versa and are trafficked sexually more than anything. These people, mostly women, are raped and sold again and again to get raped some more.
    2. Orphanages: There are orphanages all over the world that are government owned and the government does nothing! There are dying children in these and no one cares about it. The government is supposed to check up on the orphanage every week to make sure everything is running smoothly, but they never check because the people who are working in the orphanage do not care so they just sit around and don't pay attention to the kids.
    3. Racism
    4. Global Warming
    5. World Hunger

There has been a rapid break out of cholera because of the terrible conditions that most of these people are still living in.

........2. According to Andreas Muenchow, a University of Delaware researcher, this iceberg could keep all of the US supplied with flowing tap water for 120 days.
........3. The iceberg is thought to be headed towards the Nare Strait between Greenland and Canada. If this happens, it is likely that the iceberg will get stuck in the narrow waterway, blocking key trading and shipping routes.

........2. China has indicated that it is tired of the American efforts being made to "contain" the Chinese authority in the Pacific. Beijing alone is now expanding its maritime forces off-shore to attempt at forcing the US warships out of the Western Pacific.
........3. This is making India worried about the growing presence of Chinese naval vessels and port facilities in the Indian Ocean. This is an area that New Delhi feels belongs in their security zone. As a result, India is expanding its naval plans to include three new aircraft carriers and several nuclear-powered stealth submarines.

This forest houses about 30 of the 300 Sumatran tigers which still live on the island. It has been declared one of 20 landscapes critical to the survival of tigers by international scientists.
........2. Approximately 150 elephants, 130 Sumatran orangutans, and two forest-dwelling tribes also live in Bukit Tigapuluh.
........3. The companies associated with this crisis is the Asia Pulp & Paper/ Sinar Mas Group (APP/SMG).
........4. More than half of the tigers killed are from protected areas, proving that the patrol system is ineffective. - La Chureca
    • La Chureca, a city dump located Managua, Nicaragua, is home to roughly 1,500 people. However, their home cannot be considered a home in even the least of our standards. They live in piles and miles of trash in huts composed of scattered trash. To attain any electricity they must steal it and few have clean water for bathing. Disease, poverty, unemployment, lack of education, unsanitary conditions, and prostitution are the main components of life in La Chureca.
    - Forced Abortions in China
    • Because of the one child rule policy in China, women carrying their second and third children have been dragged into hospitals, even at late stages such as nine months, for forced abortions. These situations have been suppressed due to the illegality of the forced abortions by the government, but horrifying stories are surfacing in regards to their brutality.

  5. 1. Honor Killings
    http://www.examiner.com/american-politics-in-vancouver/arizona-muslim-immigrant- stands-trial-for- running-over-daughter-honor-killing
    - To bring shame upon your family is considered one of the worst things to a Indian family. So insulting to the family, that they would kill to have that scandal expunged from their reputation. Many people (mostly women) are brutally murdered by their own flesh and blood. Avoiding an arranged marriage, running away from home, being forced into human trafficking, and being raped, are all reasons to an Indian father to kill his daughter.

    - Many woman in the Afghanistan-Iraqi area are abused by their family. Husbands, father-in-laws, and mother-in-laws are the top abuser in a family. Some women put up with their miserable life, but some would rather just die, so they light themselves, but the bitter-sweet fact is, most women don’t die, most just suffer with up to 3rd degree burns or worse. There is a whole hospital in these areas of burn victims.

    4. China Orphanages
    http://pangaea.org/street_children/asia/china.htm
    - Forced Abortion, One Child Policy, Overpopulation, are all problems within the China borders. One Child Policy is a law that allows each family to have only one child because of how overpopulated the country is, and most people want their family name to be carried on, so they want to bore males, no one wants the girls. An effect of this is huge orphanages and tons of them. They are stuffed with girls of all ages, all unwanted to their families.
